Are you currently a private music instructor with your own teaching business? We’re glad you discovered us on the web and we would love for you to be a member of R.U.T.A. (Rock U Teacher’s Association)!
We provide many FREE benefits such as advertising/marketing services, student placement services, administrative/billing/follow-up services, and performance opportunities … all free to our members! We’re open to instructors that teach any instrument / level / style.
As an independent contractor, you will be determining your schedule of availability. You will also be determining whether you would like to provide lessons at your “studio” (a room out of your home perhaps?) or at the student’s home…or both. You even determine which instruments and courses of study you will be teaching, as well as what level of skill (examples “guitar – beginner” or “music theory – all levels”).
You determine everything! Take pay, for example. You would bid for how much you would like to charge Rock U for your service. The very nature of “bidding”, of course, is competitive. You’re competing against other independent contractors for our business.
Qualifications as follows:
- Be committed to your students’ progress and musical success
- Ensure 100% satisfaction by demonstrating character and integrity
- Demonstrate a high level of proficiency on a musical instrument
- Possess great communication and interpersonal skills
- Submit to and pass a background and reference check; must not have any convictions for a crime other than minor traffic violations
- Be at least 18 years old

Step 2: Our team will review your application materials and if we feel that you would be a “good fit” in providing music instruction service for us, then we will contact you and start the certification and bidding process. Feel free to email us to find out how the process is coming along.

Join Rock U’s Mailing List To Get Entered Into Drawing For...6-Months FREE Music Lessons!
Rock U will draw the name of one entrant 2X each year. Names will be drawn on June 30 and December 31st.
Odds of your name being drawn to be determined by total number of entrants received in between drawing dates.
If your name is drawn for the 6-months of FREE music lessons you must register for your lessons within 15 days of notification or your FREE music lessons award will be forfeited. Winner of FREE music lessons agrees to allow their name and photographic image to be used in Rock U promotions.
The FREE lessons are fully transferrable! The 6-months of lessons are 30 minute lessons, once each week, and conducted at Rock U’s Escondido music studios on one of the following instruments: Guitar (all-levels), Bass Guitar (all-levels), Piano / Keyboard (beg.), Drums/Percussion (beg.), Mandolin (beg.), or Voice lessons (beg.).
